How It Works

Creekside Place is proud to offer a community-based Medical Loan Closet to help individuals in need of temporary use of medical equipment — at no charge.

We have many items available, including wheelchairs, walkers, canes, commodes, and shower chairs.

To borrow equipment, simply call Creekside at (608) 882-0407. We ask that you call ahead to ensure we have the needed equipment and we can have it ready for you when you arrive.  Walk-ins cannot be guaranteed to receive the equipment without notice and may be asked to return at a later time for pick-up.

It works just like a library — you check out the items you need and return them when you’re finished.

We ask that all equipment be returned clean and in good condition, with all accessories attached, so it’s ready to help the next person in need.

Borrowers will be asked to provide their information and sign a contract/ liability waiver when checking out equipment.  Creekside Place does not assume any liability for the use of any item.

What We Loan Out

We offer durable medical equipment such as:

• Bath seats
• Bath rails
• Bathtub transfer benches
• Canes (metal or quad)
• Commodes
• Crutches
• Gait Belts
• Incontinence supplies
• Shower chairs
• Sit to Stand Patient Lift
• Toilet seat risers
• Walkers & Rollators
• Wheelchairs

* All items are based on availability

** We also have a few specialty items available, including an electric scooter, an electric wheelchair, and a Sara Steady Sit-to-Stand patient lift aid.

What We Cannot Accept

For sanitation and safety reasons, we cannot accept items that contain primarily fabric or foam — such as lift chairs, knee or back braces, or orthopedic boots.

We are also unable to accept medical beds, CPAP machines, or nebulizers.

Donations Welcome

Your donations of clean, gently used medical equipment are greatly appreciated and help us continue serving the community.  Please note, we may not have space to accept all donations.  Donations for the use of equipment are also accepted.
